Press Release

Québec City, April 20, 2020 – For the past few weeks, STEPHAN/H, a manufacturing company specializing in the design, development, and manufacture of technical uniforms, has been supporting essential services through the production of protective uniforms. To ensure the safety of its employees during these active times, the company has completely reviewed its working procedures and the layout of its facilities in accordance with government recommendations.

Given the current situation with COVID-19, there is much urgent demand for the manufacture of additional uniforms. For example, the airborne medical rescue company, Airmedic, located in Saint-Hubert, needs to perform a complete decontamination between each mission, including washing its clothes at all changes of operations. STEPHAN/H, therefore, responded to the demand to produce additional uniforms to help Airmedic complete its missions safely.

Thanks to its high quality standards, high-end materials, and techniques, the STEPHAN/H team has a wide range of international clients for whom the company remains active: Kent Surrey Sussex in England (medical emergency services), Washington County EMS in Texas (medical emergency services), Monashee Helicopters in British Columbia (health and patient transport services), HP Helicopters in California (emergency transportation services) and many more.

To further assist Quebec’s essential services, STEPHAN/H responded to the Quebec Premier’s call regarding the vital need for the production of protective medical equipment. “We are currently awaiting the government’s answer as to its needs. Since we specialize in the production of technical uniforms, we want to use our expertise to help protect essential service personnel in Quebec,” says Ms. Champagne, vice-president of STEPHAN/H. The company is also in communication with various organizations to design masks and hospital gowns. In the meantime, the company continues to carry out its activities to fight the spread of this virus.
