More than 15 Québec companies manufacture textiles and textile products for the transportation sector with air, rail, marine and road transportation applications.

This sector's products and textiles are used to manufacture of benches and interiors for automobiles, airplanes, boats, trucks and trains, replacement flaps for the fabric in back of carriers, seat belts, protective RV covers, iron or wood tarps for flatbed trailers, coil and replacement tarps for dump trailers and grain chutes.

The products and technical textiles produced by companies for the transportation sector have many properties. Depending of their applications, they are primarily acoustic, antibacterial, antifungal, 3D printing-compatible, durable, eco-friendly, recycled, elastic, ergonomic, waterproof, flame retardant, weatherproof and insulative, plus resistant to wear, electric arcs, cuts and UV exposure.
